This table includes the top 25 nations based on economic output. In total these 25 account for over 83% of global economic output.
The metric we calculate is avg life expectancy divided by healthcare expenditures as a % of GDP. So it does not account for longevity – think in terms of units of life (in years) as a function of cost (% GDP an economy spends of healthcare).
While the US spends by FAR the most on healthcare as a % of GDP, the avg. life expectancy is below most other developed western economies.
