As the cost of health care coverage rises, employers look for ways to control the their costs. “Large private-sector employers are increasingly turning to self-insured health plans, according to a new report from the Employee Benefit Research Institute.”
“In 2011, about 59 percent of workers with health coverage were in self-insured plans, up from 41 percent in 1998, the report finds. The nonpartisan research institute released the report Wednesday.”
